Little pricey but hopefully lasts long time

After having a hellish year with my old vacuum cleaner I was determined not to have the same experience throughout 2013 seeing as I have an untidy husband and 3 young kids, my life sort of revolves around using a vacuum cleaner.

I told my husband I wanted something decent unless he wanted to start doing the housework, as I have realised when you buy cheap they work for a few months ok, but then nothing but problems follow, that is why we went for this more expensive model.

The Dyson DC40 is such a joy to use now, and it picks up everything effortlessly. The fact that it is also bagless means it is very simple to just empty all that you have hovered directly into the bin once a week.

The vacuum cleaner is also incredibly light, so carrying it around the house is no problem at all and would definitely suit an older person also. I don’t have stairs as I live in a bungalow, but to even carry this up and down stairs would be pretty simple, and in fact to even vacuum the stairs.

The attachments also are very good on this, and the cable length is 7.5 metres long which means I can vacuum much more without having to keep unplugging and stopping. Also my kitchen is tiles and vacuuming this is just as good as it is on the carpets.

Overall happy with the purchase even though this vacuum is pretty pricey, however I am hoping it lasts a good few years before needing any sort of repairs, surely my luck with vacuum cleaners has to change at some point.

  Thanks for the review have been interested in this dyson one but wanted to hear a little about it seeing it is a large investment for me, but hopefully a lasting one.
